DATA ENGINEER

As a Data Engineer at SpazioDati, you’ll play a pivotal role in architecting, building, and optimizing our data infrastructure. You will work with a talented team to design scalable data pipelines and ensure the efficient flow of data across multiple systems, enabling advanced analytics and data-driven products. You’ll dive into complex datasets, wrangle structured and unstructured data, and support the team in delivering quality data products. This is an opportunity to tackle large-scale challenges and make a measurable difference in our data ecosystem, where your contributions will directly influence both our products and our clients’ success. REQUIREMENTS

• You have a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• You are a great coder and feel at home with JVM-based languages (Java/Scala) and basic understanding of Python
• You are familiar with data storage systems, whether relational databases, NoSQL solutions, stream processing and messaging.
• You are a quick thinker and problem solver who feels comfortable writing code.
• You are self-organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• You have a working knowledge of the Italian language or are willing to learn it.

The following are a plus:

• You have experience maintaining and developing data-intensive, mission-critical workflows.
• You have experience with data storage solutions, such as relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), search engines (e.g., Elasticsearch) and big-data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or similar).
• You take code quality seriously, including continuous integration, testing, code reviews, linters and modern DX.
